OS/X, Linux or Windows?

Who-what-stick?

We're OS-gnostic here at BDI, which is just a slightly pretentious way of saying we don't care what operating system you use.

We're not bothered if you run Windows or OSX or some weird flavour of Linux. Our sole aim is to make sure that whatever it is, it works for you.

Server or Workstation

All operating systems and platforms, both workstations and servers, have their benefits, and they all have their drawbacks.

Linux has made huge inroads in recent years and the latest version of Ubuntu, for example, is a viable desktop which in many ways can rival its competitors. Windows is obviously the de-facto standard for most company desktops, but Macs are worth consideration if you care about style and the quality of the user experience.

All three server platforms are highly flexible, secure and scalable. It's just a question of choosing the right one to mesh with the rest of your equipment.

The Experience to Guide You

It's our job to discuss with you what you need and how much you want to spend to achieve it, and come up with something that fits the bill.

Whilst it's true that the three technical directors at BDI each have a leaning in a certain direction, but that doesn't affect what we recommend: we're all well aware of the strengths and weaknesses of all the platforms.

With one of us coming from each of the three main OS backgrounds, we truly can bring the most appropriate solution to you, at the right price.
